Why is it so hard?
Perhaps because we stubbornly hold onto the suffering we made ourselves believe in for thousands of years.
We are caught up in the net of our patterns and false beliefs inherited from generation to generation, incarnation to incarnation, fearfully clinging on what we are used to instead of diving in the “snake pit” that –until the moment we get to know it- paints existence in cold, uncertain and scary colors for us.
Who or what we dare to look in the eye, deep and devoted, conquering ourselves – cannot be a stranger to us anymore: we realize and experience the wonder of oneness in the reflection and the self-abandon that follows. That’s how fear dissolves and Love bursts into flowers.
This, however, is only the beginning. It is important to keep reminding ourselves that in the long run only the ones we set free can soar with us. Locked birds – no matter how tempting the warmth of the golden cage – will always dream a way out of Reality: their being, eager for experience, will keep pushing them into constant escapes.
There is no prison guard who isn’t as much a prisoner himself. And there is no victim who isn’t provoking his own imprisonment, depriving himself of Life that he perceives as frightening.
The only way lasting happiness can be born is by acknowledging that our illusory imprisonment is voluntary. We can walk out the door of our cage into the open air anytime: if we don’t, our lack of courage is the only blocking factor. The decision and the step that follows take us out of the seemingly dead state and make us transform from a larva first into a moving, wriggling caterpillar, then into a butterfly soaring high in the sky.
Of course we can keep escaping, as we have done for many lifetimes. But how much longer?
Here and now, the present energies are a strong support, helping us finally let go of the victim role and get going – inwards, liberating ourselves from a compulsive captivity. To get going, however, we need a Decision, and action.
The more we resist the revolution unstoppably and unavoidably taking place both inside and outside, the stronger suffering we invite in our lives.
Let’s take a look at our life and try not to run away from what painfully makes us face our own immature, unrefined or denied parts. The law of attraction is responsible for ensuring that no matter what situation we attempt to exit in embarrassment, what follows will bring us some similar teaching, not letting us build new walls of illusion around ourselves. Change can only happen inside, by self-healing, not through transforming outside conditions – and the outer possibilities will adapt to our renewed state of being, faithfully reflecting where we are in the process of discovering ourselves.
And if at times we believe that we are more advanced at looking at and preceiving the world than others, and that therefore we must save our fellow human beings – then it is once again worth honestly looking in the World mirror, taking in its message: we have lost the Way… As long as the illusion of separation dims our sight instead of the conscious acknowledgement of “all are THAT”, we are indeed far from the unbreakable ecstasy of self-salvation and self-love, from Self-identity.
Those who love – inwards, thus outwards as well – merely inspire Existence to experience… leaving the others’ freedom, marveling at their own more and more flowing, fulfilled dance as well as that of another… (writer: csszabovirag, translator: galkatalin)
